It is therefore becoming increasingly popular for adults to undertake tumble lessons without affiliation to a cheer team, but just as a fitness class.

This is especially helpful for elite teams, and the cost of these sessions is sometimes held by the coaches if a very important competition or performance is approaching. However, it is more usual for a cheerleader to individually take some extra classes outside of their club so as to receive bespoke training, frequently undertaken on the advice of their coach.
